Workspaces and roles
How workspaces isolate your data, what each role can do, and how to read tenant identifiers.
A workspace (also called a tenant) is the container for everything you do in OSTaaS: projects, environments, test runs, evidence, integrations, and members. Data in one workspace is never visible from another.
Your workspace switcher
The switcher in the top-right shows the workspace you are currently working in, your role, and the plan. Selecting a different workspace changes everything on screen to that tenant's data.
Roles
| Role | Typical use | Permissions |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The person who created the workspace | Full control, including settings, members, integrations, and billing |
| Admin | Trusted operators | Manage integrations, preview features, and members |
| Member | Day-to-day users | Run tests, review and approve evidence |
| Viewer | Stakeholders | Read-only access to results and evidence |
Owner and Admin actions are recorded in an audit log so there is always a record of who changed what.
Tenant identifiers
The Settings page shows read-only identifiers for your workspace:
- Tenant ID — a stable identifier such as
ten_acme-7e30a396. Quote this when contacting support. - Plan — your current plan tier.
- Status — whether the workspace is active.
You cannot edit these directly; they change through plan and lifecycle actions.
Creating and joining workspaces
Creating additional workspaces and joining an existing one by invitation are on the roadmap and appear labeled Soon in the switcher. Today, each account has one personal workspace. See workspace settings for what you can configure now.
