Environments

Environment expiry

Why environments expire, what happens to your data, and how to preserve evidence.

Environments are temporary by design. Expiry keeps costs down and prevents stale, insecure environments from lingering.

What expiry does

When an environment expires, its compute is torn down and its isolated resources are reclaimed. The environment can no longer be opened.

Protect your evidence first

Evidence captured into a work session is retained independently of the environment. Before an environment expires, make sure anything you need is captured as evidence — the raw environment itself is not kept.

Need more time?

Request a fresh environment for the project. If you frequently need longer-lived environments, raise it with support.
