How it works

From open-source consideration to validated handover

OsTaaS provides a repeatable path for evaluating or rescuing open-source technology and software projects. The exact scope varies by engagement, but the control model remains consistent.

  1. 01

    Discover

Tell us what you are considering, what problem you are trying to solve, or what project is stuck. You can begin from the Open Source Atlas or create a project directly.

  2. 02

    Define the project

Describe the goal, current state, problem, success criteria and relevant source repository or environment.

  3. 03

    Connect what is needed

When source access is required, authorize the specific repository through GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps or Bitbucket. OsTaaS requests only the access required for the approved workflow.

  4. 04

    Build Sandbox

Request an isolated testing or validation environment. The request remains scoped to the workspace and project and moves through an auditable approval and provisioning lifecycle.

  5. 05

    Test Together

OsTaaS reproduces the target state, performs the agreed tests, records working sessions and captures evidence. Your team can review progress without surrendering control of the source system.

  6. 06

    Review findings

Findings explain what was observed, why it matters and what remediation or additional testing is recommended.

  7. 07

    Approve or Improve

When source changes are appropriate, OsTaaS prepares a remediation proposal. The customer explicitly approves or rejects implementation and push.

  8. 08

    Return the change

Approved remediation is implemented on an OsTaaS project branch, validated, pushed to the authorized repository, and returned through a PR/MR. OsTaaS does not force-push protected branches by default.

  9. 09

    Deliver / Handover

The engagement closes with agreed evidence, test results, remediation details, repository references, remaining risk and recommended next steps.
