Open source, tested with context

About OsTaaS

OsTaaS — Open Source Testing as a Service — helps organizations evaluate, test, validate and adopt open-source software with greater confidence. We give engineering and technology teams a controlled place to move from “we are considering this” or “we are stuck here” to reproducible testing, technical evidence, validated remediation and an auditable handover.

Why OsTaaS exists

Open-source software powers modern identity, infrastructure, observability, databases, security, DevOps and enterprise applications. The difficult part is rarely finding a project. The difficult part is determining whether it fits your requirements, validating how it behaves in your environment, identifying operational risks, reproducing failures and proving that the result is ready for the intended use.

OsTaaS is designed to close that gap. Rather than asking a customer to adopt a product first and discover problems later, OsTaaS provides a structured evaluation and validation journey before the technology is relied on in production.

What customers can do

Customers can create a secure workspace, invite colleagues, assign roles, choose the appropriate subscription, connect an existing Git repository when source code is part of the engagement, create a project, request a sandbox or validation environment, collaborate with OsTaaS, follow testing activity, review evidence and findings, approve remediation, and receive the validated outcome through a documented handover.

Discover

Explore the Open Source Atlas to understand technologies, common use cases, enterprise alternatives, deployment considerations and areas that deserve testing.

Connect

Connect the source-control platform your team already uses. Your Git provider remains the system of record.

Test

Request or coordinate structured testing in an isolated environment with project, environment and repository context preserved.

Collaborate

Invite workspace members, assign access and collaborate with OsTaaS around a specific project without exposing unrelated tenant resources.

Validate

Review findings, test results, evidence, remediation outcomes and remaining risk.

Deliver

Receive the final evidence, reports, approved repository changes, PR/MR references and next-step guidance.

We work with your existing engineering workflow

OsTaaS does not require customers to abandon the tools they already use. GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps and Bitbucket remain authoritative for repositories, branches and merge controls. OsTaaS receives only the access required for the authorized project. Where remediation is approved, OsTaaS works on a separate branch and returns changes through the provider's normal pull-request or merge-request workflow. The customer remains the default merge authority.

Evidence over claims

OsTaaS is designed around traceability. Testing should explain what was tested, in which environment, against which project or revision, what happened, what changed, what passed, what failed and what remains unresolved. Readiness indicators must come from real evidence rather than invented scores.

Built for teams and tenants

An OsTaaS user is not the same thing as an OsTaaS tenant. A person can belong to multiple workspaces and have a different role in each. Workspaces isolate members, projects, repositories, environments, subscriptions, evidence, support requests and audit history.

Test before you trust. Adopt with evidence. Keep the customer in control.
